About the support

How it works
Being a Mental Health First Aider means showing up for colleagues during some of their hardest moments – and that can take a toll on you.
First Aider Support sessions give you a confidential space to talk through how that's affecting you. You'll meet with one of Spill's senior counsellors, who can help you process what came up, reflect on how you're feeling, and check you're OK.
Think of it as a debrief: somewhere to set down what you've been carrying, with someone trained to help you make sense of it.
It's support for you – not guidance on how to handle the people you support. If something needs escalating, your counsellor can point you towards the right resources.
